Wait, what? Kamya Punjabi can be JAILED for 6 months, here’s why!
Despite stay order on Pratyusha Banerjee’s last short film, Kamya went ahead and released it online…
It’s a year to Pratyusha Banerjee’s unfortunate death and the controversy doesn’t seem to end. Kamya Punjabi came out and supported the release of Pratyusha’s last short film Hum Kuchh Keh Na Sakey.
The story which revolves around Pratyusha’s character battling depression, due to a failed relationship, has an uncanny resemblance to what the actress was going through in her real life as well. Boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was shocked to hear that a film was being released and he felt that it might prove detrimental since the case is still being fought.
He immediately got his lawyer to get a stay order issued on the film, which they managed to do. But Kamya, who claims she didn’t receive any stay order, went ahead and released the film online.
Now, Rahul’s lawyer claims that for this, Kamya could be jailed for 6 months. “I don’t know why Kamya Punjabi is in denial. Her maid had signed on its receipt. She can be jailed for 6 months for contempt of Court. She is not understanding the gravity of the Court order. I hope she takes advice from some lawyer. f you see the Stay Order carefully, there is a Bailiff report. A Bailiff report can only be filed after serving the order in question.”
