Surprising Kajol has only ONE Rs 100 crore film in her career

Surprising Kajol has only ONE Rs 100 crore film in her career – Bollywood superstar Kajol is undoubtedly one of the finest and versatile actresses of the industry. The 44-year old star has delivered several memorable performances in films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge, Dushman, My Name Is Khan, Fanaa and many more. Despite being one of the most commercially viable stars, you will be shocked to hear that Kajol has only one Rs 100 crore film to her credit. Well, you must have guessed that it is Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon-starrer Dilwale.

Being a multistarrer film, the credit isn’t only Kajol’s to take. Also, the film was not an outright hit due to its massive budget. It’s quite surprising that young actresses like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have around 4 to 5 Rs 100 crore films, while the Baazigar actress has only a single Rs 100 crore film in her kitty. Though we can’t deny the fact that during her career, 100 crore club factor was not present in Bollywood and when it arrived, Kajol had started doing very limited films.

So honestly, we can’t say that the Rs 100 crore benchmark is compulsory to justify her stardom. She shares the record of winning 5 Filmfare Best actress awards with her aunt late Nutan and that achievement is enough to prove her acting mettle and star power.

Kajol’s Helicopter Eela has released today and being a female-oriented film, it is completely riding on her shoulders. Since the film is receiving positive reviews, we expect Helicopter Eela to show substantial growth over the weekend. Anyway, are you planning to watch it in the coming days? Tweet to us.
