Shilpa Shetty is an Indian film actress and model. She made her debut in bollywood with the film Baazigar in 1993. The following year she delivered another blockbuster hit ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ opposite Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Her performances in Dhadkan (2000) and Rishtey (2002) were appreciated, while her portrayal of an AIDS patient in Phir Milenge (2004) won her many accolades. She was seen judging Sony Tv’s dance reality show “India’s Super Dancer”.
Shilpa Shetty was born on 8 June 1975 in Manglore. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She has done her schooling from St. Anthony Girls’ High School in Chembur, Mumbai and later attended Podar College in Matunga. She was also involved in sports and was the captain of the volleyball team in school. She has a black belt in Karate. Shilpa was crowned as the winner of British Celebrity reality TV show Big Brother in 2007. With this achievement, she regained her status in Bollywood. Today besides acting, Shilpa was an investor in the IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals.
