Shilpa Agnihotri to make a comeback on television with Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta

Shilpa Agnihotri, best remembered as Ganga from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is reportedly all set to make a comeback on television. It’s being said that she will be seen in Ekta Kapoor‘s much-awaited show Chandrakanta, which has Madhurima Tuli in the lead role.

Shilpa will reportedly have a cameo in the show. She will essay the role of Madhurima’s mother in the show. Her character will die in the very first episode and that’s how the story will commence. The team will soon shoot the promo and will then go to Karjat for the second schedule of their shooting. This show will most likely replace Mouni Roy’s Naagin 2 in the 8 pm slot on weekends.

Apart from being a part of daily soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Lavanya and Kkusum; Shilpa been associated with many reality shows too. She participated as a contestant in popular show Bigg Boss season 7. The beautiful actress has also done episodics in popular shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Savdhaan India, Code Red Talaash and Darr Sabko Lagta Hai.

It’s said that although the name of the show is same, Ekta’s show is not based on the novel penned by Devki Nandan Khatri. Not only this, news has it that Ekta regularly sits with the creative team to ensure that Colors TV’s ‘Chandrakanta’ is totally different from Life Ok’s ‘Chandrakanta – Prem Ya Paheli’.
