Richa Gangopadhyay was born as Antara Richa Gangopadhyay on 20 March 1986 in New Delhi. She spent some years in Coimbatore and later moved to USA. She was brought up in Pennsylvania and Michigan counties. She did her schooling in Okemos High School. Richa has completed her Dietetics and Health Administration at Michigan State University. She did acting diploma from Anupam Kher’s acting school. She took a break from films and moved back to USA and studied MBA.
Richa Gangopadhyay has started her career as a model at an early age. In 2007, she won the Miss Michigan pageant and Miss India USA 2007 at the 26th annual pageant held at Royal Albert’s Palace in New Jersey. She also won the title of Miss Photogenic and qualified to represent USA in the 17th Annual Miss India Worldwide Pageant held in Johannesburg. She earned offers for work in fashion shows and modelling.
