The shoot schedule of Priyanka Chopra‘s Quantico is set to kickstart in August and this time the high octane action sequences will be taken up a notch. According to reports, the diva is going through some serious preps as she will be reprising her role as Alex Parrish for ABC’s show. A source quoted to Mid-Day, “The stunts will be orchestrated on a grander scale. PeeCee will train with a noted stunt choreographer in California. She will learn rifle and gun shooting and will work on her agility for the chase sequences and aerial stunts. Since she doesn’t use body doubles, the pressure of wowing the audience lies on her.” That’s pretty cool. Desi girl certainly has that badass gene in her. Considering how she has never used a body double, it would be quite a spectacle to watch her perform her stunts without anyone’s support.
While Quantico season one was a big hit, the second season saw a dip in the TRP rates. But with the third season in the making, plus with the extra dose of action, we’re quite sure that this season is going to be kickass. As opposed to 22 episodes, this season’s episodes have been slashed to 13. Apart from Quantico, she has two Hollywood films for which she has been shooting for lately. PeeCee will be playing a supporting lead for A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic? Right after she completes Quantico, the diva has promised that she would be revealing her Bollywood plans, which is definitely happening folks!
In terms of her production house, we hear the actress will be producing a show on the life of Madhuri Dixit on Hollywood front! You heard that right. Priyanka confirmed the news as she posted on social media, “One of the favorite parts of my job, is to be able to tell stories across genres, languages and to a varied audience. Today I’m happy to share with you another step I’ve taken on that creative journey, in my role as a producer. This particular story is one of a few Hollywood projects that I am currently developing. The incredible Madhuri Dixit’s real life has been the inspiration behind Sri Rao’s amazing story, and I can’t wait to work with the both of them to see how this will pan out. Again, it’s unchartered territory for me, producing a show for American television but I’m blessed to have a great set of partners in Mark Gordon Company’s Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper, along with ABC Studios to develop and produce this very fun idea. After having an incredible experience with them on Quantico, this seemed like a perfect extension of our partnership. I’ve only just begun and there is little I can share at this point about any of the projects but I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work. Stay tuned.”
