Not Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh’s kiss but this is why Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is in trouble – The latest update from the sets is a little disheartening as it states that there would be a possible delay in the release of the Deepika Padukone – Ranveer Singh – Shahid Kapoor starrer.
With all the vandalism attack finally coming to a standstill, there’s new trouble brewing for Padmavati filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The latest update from the sets is a little disheartening as it states that there would be a possible delay in the release of the Deepika Padukone – Ranveer Singh – Shahid Kapoor starrer. As per a report on Mid-Day, the worker’s strike, the shooting of the film has been stalled, resulting in delay of the remaining schedules. For all those unaware, we had reported earlier about the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) strike where all the employees of studios across the city have boycotted work. Their demands haven’t been met with and hence, on August 15th, the board decided to take some serious actions. Over 40 TV shows have been affected by this strike as they literally depend on the studios for their shooting. Besides, the soaps have a tight schedule and hence it is very unfortunate for them. However, the tabloid found out that even SLB’s upcoming project has been afflicted by this strike.
As per a source, “The crew was clocking in almost 18 hours’ work every day to make sure the film keeps its release date. But, the protests have slowed down the film’s shoot,” adding, “Now, the team is barely able to shoot for eight to 10 hours a day due to reduced staff strength.” Poor Bhansali is working on a deadline as the budget has been surpassed thanks to incessant delays. While the project was supposed to wrap up by August. But due to the sudden worker’s strike, it doesn’t look good for the filmmaker. “The production house has given Bhansali a final word that he cannot overstep the deadline, due to monetary constraints. If the technicians do not get to work soon, Padmavati will be adversely affected,” adds the source.
The film is set to release this year, November to be precise. However, with the constant postponement of schedule thanks to innumerable perils cropping up now and then, we wonder if he’ll be able to meet the deadline. “Another 15 days of this schedule and Bhansali will miss the release date. Only a miracle can make him release the movie on that day then,” states a source. We just hope things go as planned because the filmmaker certainly can’t afford another delay. Stay tuned to this space for hot scoop and latest updates.
