Nora Fatehi Dilbar continues to top the music charts for the 9th week – Video
We did not see this coming. Satyameva Jayate’s Dilbar remake has managed to win hearts and how. It has been maintaining its top position on pretty much all the music charts for the past 9 weeks and thus making us add it to Trending Tunes, this time as well. But again, no new song was released that would give a tough competition to Dilbar. In fact, no new song was released that would give any competition to Dhadak’s title track, Zingaat or even Tareefan. You will find our this week’s pick of 5 best songs a little similar to previous editions, but this is not on us. it is all on Bollywood for not being able to churn out a memorable melody in the past few weeks.
Dilbar – Satyameva Jayate
The song released 9 weeks ago. And ever since it has maintained a top position on music charts. Saavn, iTunes, Gaana, Radio Mirchi – all have this song trending on top. The song got a boost by Nora Fatehi’s sexy belly dancing skills. But then it is because of Tanishk Bagchi’s recomposition that made the fans listen to it on loop. A huge credit also goes to sensuous vocals of Neha Kakkar and Dhvani Bhanushali.
Dhadak
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan’s Dhadak’s title track has become the love anthem of the year. It will take a song extremely strong to break the spell of Dhadak. The song by Ajay-Atul has been trending on top on many music charts even though it has been more than a month since the movie released. Shreya Ghoshal, take a bow. Even after so many years, she has the ability to surprise us.
Halka Halka – Fanney Khan
Titled Halka Halka, this romantic number features Aishwarya along with Rajkummar Rao and we must say, their chemistry is quite refreshing. It’s trending on number 6 on iTunes. it’s a recreation of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s song by the same name but of course, this one has a rather peppy twist with Amit Trivdei’s own composition. This new version also has quite a 90s Indie pop connection if you notice. Sunidhi Chauhan and Divya Kumar have sung the romantic number.
Tareefan – Veere Di Wedding
It was a promotional track for Veere Di Wedding, which stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker in lead roles. The song has been composed by Qaran and has been sung by Badshah. The ladies are seen lip-syncing to the lyrics in the music video which is pretty quirky. The number is still trending on many music charts.
Paniyon Sa- Satyameva Jayate
Atif Aslam and Tulsi Kumar have such distinctly beautiful voices. They have come together to croon, Paniyon Sa, so of course you can expect magic. Though I personally like Tere Jaisa by them from the same album better than Paniyon Sa, but that song is yet to start trending on music charts. For now, listen to this romantic number and probably give your better half a tight hug.
