Kritika Kamra to make her Bollywood debut with Pelli Choopulu’s Hindi remake – Kritika Kamra will be seen opposite Jackky Bhagnani.

So finally after a 12 year long career in television, Kritika Kamra will be making her Bollywood debut. She will be seen opposite Jackky Bhagnani in his new film which will be a remake of Telugu hit film Pelli Choopulu which means far right. The film starred Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma and has won National awards as well. Kritika will be reprising the role of Ritu Varma in this film. Produced by Phantom, the film is based on the concept of arranged marriage.

Kritika’s debut will be directed by Nitin Kakkar who had directed Filmistaan. The film will also have Prateik Babbar and Gujarati actor Pratik Gandhi. It will be set in Gujarat and will be shot in Ahmedabad.

Born and brought up in Merrut, Kritika completed her education from Delhi. She came to Mumbai 12 years back to try her luck in TV. She got her first break with Yahan Ke Hum Sikander with Ravi Dubey. After that, she did Kitni Mohabbat Hai with Karan Kundra, which was a runaway hit. After Kitni Mohabbat Hai 2 Kritika did Kuch To Log Kahenge with Monish Behl, Sharad Kelkar and Karan Wahi.

Kritika was supposed to make her Bollywood debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Badtameez Dil with Kareena Kapoor but that film never took off. She did some reality shows and short films meanwhile. Kritika returned to TV this year with Chandrakanta in Life Ok.
