Kajol feels a line should be drawn somewhere when it comes to the paparazzi pressure on star kids… – Kajol feels the pressure on star kids is UNNECESSARY, but unavoidable – watch video
Star kids have been in the spotlight from quite a few years now, however with the opening up of social media and their presence on these platforms, has put them in the limelight even more. Not only do the media, but also fans of actors and actresses follow every star kid. From a Aryan Khan to a Navya Naveli Nanda to a Sara Ali Khan, Jhanvi Kapoor, Suhana Khan and Nysa Devgn, everyone is in the news all the time. Be it pictures or stories about their accomplishments or their Bollywood ambitions or film debut, everything is being discussed from time to time. However, with so much interest in their lives, the paparazzi has, at points, crossed the line. For example, during Tubelight’s screening, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter – Suhana was shocked to find herself cornered by photographers trying to get her pictures. With so much attention and pressure on star kids, we are sure, actors and actresses will be worried about their children, right? Well Kajol certainly is…
During an interaction with Rajeev Masand for her upcoming film VIP 2, Kajol was asked about what and how she feels about the attention and pressure on the star kids from the paparazzi. She revealed, “It makes me uncomfortable (that my kids will soon be under the scrutiny of the paparazzi). I feel it is unnecessary, but to a certain extent it is unavoidable because they are our children and people are bound to want to know about them and love them. However, I just feel that there needs to be a line drawn somewhere, to stay so far and no further. That line, somewhere, everyone is crossing and you see they are trolling them, pushing them, body shaming them, which I feel is unnecessary. If they would have done it to a normal person, they would have gotten trolled and they would have got so much flak. Just because you are doing it to someone who is a celebrity’s son or daughter, does not mean that is Ok.
Also starring Dhanush and Amala Paul, Kajol’s VIP 2 is set to release on July 28. Anyway, what is your take on the pressure on the star kids in today’s day and age? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below.
