Jacqueline Fernandez, Chitrangda Singh, Taapse Pannu fail to impress us with their style statements this week
Every week, there are a number of celebs who make us sigh with their sartorial choices. There are some who are repeated offenders but this time we have some celebs who get it right almost every time. So, it is surprising to see them make a mess as they are known for their personal sense of style, faring well even without help from stylists. But the worst this time is not as ghastly as last week when Urvashi Rautela’s red riding hood avatar made us cringe and how. Actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde who can make anything work on them have found their way on this list this time…Check out these pictures and you’ll know what we are saying…
The actress opted for a retro glam look but did not hit the bull’s eye. We love Chitrangda neck up with those dark maroon lips and bronzed cheeks but the outfit was disappointing. First up, the print and material resembled those seen on upholstery items. The feather detail looked somewhat tacky. We have seen some nice stuff from Paule Ka but this wasn’t one of them. Chitrangda wore it over a black bralet and black bottom, which was unflattering for the eye. The outfit perhaps would have looked better at night but for day wear, it seemed like a poor choice.
We love what Pooja wears 99.99 per cent of the time but this Aastha Narang outfit did not bring out her natural beauty at all. Red can be a tricky colour and here she is clad in a sea of red. While the flaring bottom is passable, the semi sheer bust with the high neckline does not look pretty at all. The actress did well to keep her accessories to a minimum but the whole combo of the red outfit, red lips and middle-parting hair looked straight out of a daily soap.
Jacqueline loves to experiment with her stylists and this look is designed by Narola Jamir, who has been working with the actress since a while now. Well, the actress’ jacket is from Sacai Official, the tee from Lee Jeans India, skirt by Micheal Kors and the bag from Yves Saint Laurent. Many top brands have been thrown in together but the final result is kind of disappointing. A simple black/white or beige ganjee with that skirt and shoes would have looked so much better.
The actress loves the fuss-free look and she is seen here in a funky neon pantsuit. We love how Taapsee has done up her hair in braids. It resonates with her character of a hockey player in Soorma. The outfit is from Narendra Kumar Ahmed’s label and we are divided over it. Like, we have seen the print in a jumpsuit and loved it. Here, it looks too loose on the actress and we wish she had skipped the matching trousers and gone for black denims instead.
The actress is someone who loves simple designs and minimal accessories. In fact, she always looks chic. While the hair, makeup and footwear are on point, we hate the leather detailing on the dress. It is a sore point, a minor one though.
