IPL 2018 Opening Ceremony Parineeti Chopra might not be performing, but Tamannaah Bhatia definitely will

It’s that time of the year again when fans of cricket will think about nothing but the Indian Premiere League for the next two months. The opening ceremony of the eleventh edition of the cash-rich cricket tournament is all set to take place tomorrow (April 7), at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. And like every year, a number of Bollywood celebrities will set the stage on fire with their dance performances. However, the schedule has gone through a number of changes in the past few days. Ranveer Singh was one of the celebs, who was set to perform, but he backed out few days ago thanks to his shoulder injury. Same was the case with Parineeti Chopra. She, too, was on board for the ceremony, but she opted out citing that she was busy with the shoot of Namaste England, and did not get time to rehearse.

Parineeti might not be shaking a leg on the stage tomorrow, but thankfully they have Tamannaah Bhatia still on their list. And guess what? She is not performing solo. Prabhudheva will be dancing with her and the two have been rehearsing for their act since the past two days. Giving details about her performance, Tamannaah, who has worked not only in the Hindi film industry, but also down South said, “IPL is one of the most premium properties of the country and after Bollywood its cricket that takes a forefront in India. This is the first time I will be performing at a sporting event so I’m quite excited. I will be performing on Sampige, Kara Attakara, Swing Zara and Pinga. It’s a matter of great credit that I will be representing not one but four film industries on a single platform.

Shaimak Davar has choreographed most of the acts. Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Hrithik Roshan will also be performing. Defending champions Mumbai Indians and and two-time winners Chennai Super Kings, the most successful teams of the IPL will begin the 11th edition of the league tomorrow.
