Ileana D’Cruz reveals chilling details about being eve teased by six men – “They started banging against the window, pressing themselves against the car, one of them even lying down on the top of the bonnet and laughing…” Ileana D’Cruz recalled the incident.
Yesterday, Ileana D’Cruz took to Twitter to vent out her anger about certain eve teasing. She wrote, “It’s a pretty shitty world we live in. I’m a public figure. I understand that I don’t have the luxury of a private & an anonymous life.(1/2),” reads her first tweet. In the second tweet, she said, “But that doesn’t give any man the right to misbehave with me. Don’t confuse “fan antics” with that. I am a WOMAN at the end of the day.(2/2)”
Now talking about the details of the incident, she revealed to mirror that there were six fans who misbehved with her, while she was on her way to a fashion show. She revealed that her car stopped at a traffic signal and a group of six men in a car that had stopped next to her’s started misbehaving after realising it was her in the car. She said, “They started banging against the window, pressing themselves against the car, one of them even lying down on the top of the bonnet and laughing. I’ve been eve teased when I was younger, but I didn’t expect guys to misbehave to this level at this age.
She also added that she could’ve clicked their pictures but this could’ve further prompted them to misbehave with her. She said, “They followed my car even after the signal turned green. It was like a power trip for them.” Talking about being outnumbered by them, she said she didn’t want to put her chauffeur in an unsafe situation, “They could have beaten him up and I wouldn’t have been able to stop them. So the only thing my chauffeur could do was honk while I ignored their antics.”
When asked if she’s planning to file a police complaint against them, “I don’t even know who they are. May be I’ll handle the situation differently if, God forbid, it happens again, but this time, I played safe.” “But this time I was alone, without an entourage, and that must have emboldened them,” she concluded.
Finally, on the question of hiring a bodyguard, “If this becomes frequent, I might consider it,” she concluded.
