Hrithik Roshan to perform at Sonu Sood’s first outing as event organiser today; Neeti Mohan, Badshah to join him on stage
Hrithik Roshan and Sonu Sood
In January this year, actor Sonu Sood turned distributor and producer with Indo-Chinese production, Kung Fu Yoga, starring Jackie Chan. He took charge of the India release of the movie. Now, he wants to expand his banner.
Sonu is set to foray into event management, and his first Bollywood-centric show will be held today in Dubai. Hrithik Roshan, Sonu’s close friend, has come on board for the do.
Apart from the actor, Bollywood musicians, including rapper Badshah, singer Neeti Mohan and composer duo Vishal-Shekhar will enthral the audience with their musical acts.
Speaking to mid-day, Sonu says, “It has been a long-standing dream to do events. I did my first event in college as a 17-year-old. It was a fashion show in Nagpur. I feel this is the perfect time for me to kick-start this, and the idea is to do many more Bollywood events like this one, across the globe.”
For Hrithik, the show marks his comeback to the stage. Though he performed at an awards gala last year, he hasn’t done any acts this year. Besides dancing to his hits, Ek Pal Ka Jeena (Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai; 2000) and Tu Meri (Bang Bang; 2014), the actor is also expected to rap with Badshah.
Sonu and Hrithik go back a long way. So, when the former broached the subject to Hrithik, he didn’t think twice before giving his nod.
Without divulging much details about the performances at the charitable event, Sonu informs, “We wanted the acts to be interactive. There are activities planned between Hrithik and the audience. They will get a chance to dance with him. He will get fans up on stage.”
