Deepika Padukone Ghoomar and Vidya Balan’s Ban Ja Rani are hit this week watch videos – 5 of the best songs to dance to on Sunday.
We are back with another round of the best tunes from the last week. Finally, a new set of refreshing melodies have made their way into our lives. Or else Rashke Qamar just refused to leave the building. But after a very long time we have as many as four new songs on the list. Good job, Bollywood. So without wasting any more time let us move on to make our Sunday musical. Don’t forget to turn the volume all the way up.
Ghoomar – Padmavati
If you can take your eyes away from the sheer beauty of Deepika Padukone you’d notice the musical brilliance of this song. Infused with the Indian folk song from Rajputana era, the song is extremely delightful. Shreya Ghoshal, for some reason will remind you of the time when she sang for the first time for Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Her soulful, sugary voice will echo in your ears. No wonder this song is trending on top on iTunes. You can’t listen to it enough, despite not having enough colloquial connect to it.
Ban Ja Rani – Tumhari Sulu
Guru Randhawa finally got his due with this song becoming extremely popular with Tumhari Sulu. He has crooned a masterpiece. And of course due credit to Haji Springer. It is tough to get noticed if Vidya Balan is there on screen with you, but Manav Kaul’s presence captures your attention just as much as hers if not considered more delectable. Their romance hits the right chords. Or is it the music? Tough to decide. We will just leave you with the lovely song.
Raat Baki – Ittefaq
Can we have one set of Trending Tunes when we are not mentioning a remade song? Well, we can’t even properly complain as long as the remade songs are as good as this one. Raat Baki, by Tanishk Bagchi, is a commendable spin on the original version. Jubin Nautiyal and Nikhita Gandhi, whose voice is exceptionally sexy, deserve a round of applause. The whistle in the song is beautiful and haunting at the same time.
Hawa Hawai 2.0 – Tumhari Sulu
Vidya Balan is a huge Sridevi fan IRL. She flatly refused to do recreate the song when the idea was initially pitched to her. It is only when the director told her that they won’t be visually recreating the soul at all but will only use it as a party number, she agreed to do it. Well, even we cannot ANYONE, be it Vidya for that matter, imagine someone else in Sridevi’s shoes. But the Tumhari Sulu casts a spell just as strong as Sridevi did with this new age rendition. Tanishk Bagchi is the man of the hour once again, who reworked on the song. Great job.
Sexy Baliye – Secret Superstar
Ah…where do we even begin. Remember that famous Aamir Khan line ‘Ah current maarti hai!’ from his special song in Delhi Belly? The actor tries to recreate the same quirky ambiance here in Sexy Baliye. And he does succeed. Which actor would agree to up his quirk like this but Aamir. He and Mika make a good combo. After long, we get to hear Mika back in his that fun mode. The music of the song is good but Aamir steals the show.
