Bipasha Basu wants to remake The Blind Side in Hindi
Bipasha Basu may finally have narrowed down the film she wants to pick, post marriage. We’ve now learned that she has shown interest in a script and is keen on going forward with it as her next.
The script in question is a remake of 2009’s The Blind Side. “Bipasha is on the lookout for a studio to co-produce the film with her. Once that happens, they will finalise a director,” says a source.
The actress is keen on playing Sandra Bullock’s character in the original film, a wealthy matriarch who adopts an underprivileged, but rather strong school kid and helps him get ahead, by making choices for him in the sport and colleges he picks.
Adds the source, “The actress is currently in talks over obtaining the remake rights, but it will be completely changed to suit Indian audiences. Bips loved that Leigh Anne’s character has complex shades to her. A formal announcement will be made once everything is finalised.”
When contacted, all Bipasha said was, “It’s too early to talk about it.”
