Arpita Tiwari murder remains a mystery as Amit Hazra now blames the anchor’s boyfriend.
Anchor Arpita Tiwari, 25, was found dead at Manavsthal Heights, a high-rise in Malwani in Malad, in her friend Amit Hazra’s apartment on December 11, 2017. Tiwari had gone to the apartment with her boyfriend, Pankaj Jadhav. The trio had then gone out drinking and returned to Hazra’s apartment at around 3 am. Arpita’s body was found in the duct of the building at around 8:30 am. During the initial investigations, the police thought of it as an accident. A month later, Amit Hazra was arrested by police in connection with the anchor’s murder.
In a recent development, the anchor’s acquaintance has now blamed her boyfriend, Pankaj Jadhav, for killing her. According to a report in The Asian Age, Amit had earlier revealed that Pankaj and Arpita shared a strained relationship since the last two years. Hazra had made an allegation that Pankaj might have committed a crime in order to get rid of her. Talking about the same, senior police inspector at the Malwani police station said, “We have not given a clean chit to Jadhav. However, we have no solid proof against him.” He further added that investigations are underway and if they find anything new, appropriate arrests will be made.
Arpita’s sister, Shweta, had also earlier revealed how nobody in their family liked Jadhav. “Arpita had chosen him, but nobody in the family liked him,” she stated. Revealing more about Jadhav’s behaviour towards Arpita, Shweta had also said, “He was jobless. And, I had even seen him hitting Arpita. Who would want his/her sister to get married to such a guy? He was so aggressive. He used to drink and lose his senses.”
With new updates coming in, it is difficult to find out who the real culprit is. But we are tracking this closely and will update you with any new developments.
