As per the latest reports, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has roped Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh for her next film titled ‘Gully Boy’. The story is about an underdog who rises from slums and goes on to become a big rapper. The story is based on the life of real life rapper artists – Divine and Naezy. Alia Bhatt will also be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming flick Shiddat. She will be seen alongwith Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor. Shiddat is a period drama set against Partition-era Lahore.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy film, directed by Shashank Khaitan. It is produced by Karan Johar under the Dharma Productions banner. It stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. She will also be seen in Aashiqui 3 alongwith Sidharth Malhotra. Since it is part of the Aashiqui franchise, Alia will be playing a singer in the flick.
