Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta’s wedding was hit by a blue wave as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and others dressed in oceanic colours – It was a star-studded weekend in Mumbai all thanks to the Ambanis. Bollywood dressed in their best outfits to attend Akash Ambani’s wedding to Shloka Mehta. While we were excited to see who wore what at the wedding and reception, we couldn’t help but notice that there was a wave of blue that hit Bollywood over the weekend. Several celebrities wore a shade of blue to the wedding. Did they text each other and decide to step out in blue? We’ll never know. But hey, at least they’ve given us a slew of ideas to work on when we have a blue themed party. So, yay! We have a list of stars who turned to blue this weekend. The blue ball was set rolling by Priyanka Chopra Jonas who stepped out wearing an ice-blue saree (cue: Ice Ice Baby!) The embellished netted saree from the house of Tarun Tahiliani brought out the desi girl in Priyanka.
Priyanka was quickly followed by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The gorgeous diva looked regal in a royal blue lehenga by Manish Malhotra. Aishwarya accented her look with the help of a diamond bracelet, maang tika and dangling earrings.
Kareena Kapoor Khan too turned to Manish for Akash and Shloka’s wedding. The actress painted herself in blue as she stepped out wearing a chic lehenga choli topped with sheer shrug/dupatta to top it off. Kareena sported a metallic choker to complete her look. Is it okay that we couldn’t help but get jealous of her washboard abs?
Last but not the least, Katrina Kaif closed the blue brigade with her floral printed lehenga. The Bharat actress sported an Anita Dongre creation for the wedding and made it such a summery affair.
Well, we’re not going to leave out the boys! Tiger Shroff joined the leading ladies by sporting a blue vest for the wedding. Amitabh Bachchan also stepped out wearing a light blue shade kurta.
