Aditi Rao Hydari to replace Kriti Sanon as Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s heroine in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next? – It will be interesting to see what fare Vishal Bharadwaj has prepared for these two actors.
After the debacle of Rangoon earlier this year, director and music composer Vishal Bharadwaj is taking it slow and planning something smaller in scale compared to his last movie. If reports are to be believed, he is making a small-budget comedy starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead and that Kriti Sanon would be cast opposite him. With the success of Bareilly Ki Barfi, Kriti would definitely be wanting to focus more on small budget comedies, especially after the failure of the much hyped Raabta. So this news wasn’t a surprise.
However, as per a report in DNA, it will not be Kriti Sanon, but Aditi Rao Hydari who will be playing the female lead in the yet-untitled movie. Vishal wanted Kriti to be a part of the movie, however. things didn’t come to an agreement between the actress and the makers, so they found a replacement in Aditi. A source close to the project revealed, “She (Aditi) is in advanced talks with the makers and is most likely to sign the dotted line soon.”
This will be the first time Aditi Rao Hydari and Nawazudin Siddiqui will be sharing screen in a movie. Aditi Rao Hydari was last seen in Bhoomi, where she played Sanjay Dutt’s daughter in his comeback movie. Though the movie got bad reviews and was a flop, her performance got good feedback. Nawazuddin Siddiqui meanwhile continues to be on a roll delivering one excellent performance after another. His last Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, where he played the main lead, landed in trouble with the Censor Board for its lovemaking scenes and gritty content. It will be interesting to see what fare Vishal Bharadwaj has prepared for these two actors.
