Katrina Kaif has had a really interesting journey in Bollywood. From debuting with Boom in 2003 to ruling the box office with Tiger Zinda Hai in 2018, her 15 year career has seen several ups and downs. However, the actress is still one of the biggest stars in Bollywood! So getting inside details of her life and career would seem really interesting, right? Well, your dream might just come true. According to a report published in Mid-Day, Katrina is all set to pen a memoir. The actress had hinted at it at a recent event, when she said, “I educated myself (about the industry). I might write a book (on it).” And looks like she was not kidding!
A leading publishing house has approached Katrina Kaif to write a book on her life and her journey in Bollywood. Katrina’s inspiring story had tempted the publishing house and hence, they reached out to her in January. And while the actress was apprehensive at first, but looks like she has finally agreed. As a source mentioned to Mid-Day, “When Katrina was approached initially, she felt it was too soon to write an autobiography. After much convincing, she has agreed to come on board.” Tentatively titled Barbie Dreams (because of her Barbie like features and the fact that she has a Barbie modelled on her), the book will have a lot of chapters of her life. But what all will it include?
Barbie Dreams will tell us about various aspects of Katrina’s life, including her childhood. As the source further revealed to the tabloid, “The book will focus on her childhood and growing up years.
We all know Katrina has stayed in various countries, but did you know what impact it had on her life? Well, you will surely read about this in the book, as the source added, “Since she lived in several countries, including Japan, Belgium and London, she will talk about the influence of myriad cultures on her personality.
Having such a fantastic Bollywood career, Katrina will open up about how she bagged films and her thought behind her choice of movies. “Despite starting with a controversial film like Boom, she will decode how she bagged projects wisely to ensure a long innings in Bollywood,” revealed the source.
However, Katrina Kaif will not speak about her love life in the memoir, as the source further added, “The story is pitched as a motivational one and anything about her personal life doesn’t fit into the template.” From what we hear, the publishing house will make an announcement next week.
