Priced at a staggering Rs 70 lakh, this 24-karat handbag will be the envy of Deepika, Kareena and Kangana
Bollywood beauties love to flaunt things that are extraordinary. Being simple and casual probably doesn’t go with their job description. Then again, the number of zeroes that they add to their fee, will also have to be splurged somewhere, right? From haute couture labels to custom made pieces of art, is there anything that doesn’t find a place in their wardrobe? We don’t blame them for being so demanding for their profession needs it. They are world renowned stars and the tag comes with a heavy price tag. From being obsessed with certain brands to experimenting with everything unconventional, these stars love to flaunt what they own. But wait, is there something that even they can envy? I mean, they have all the luxuries at their beck and call. Yet there’s a thing that we bet has caught no one’s attention. And if our assumption is right, this particular product might just baffle our beautiful ladies. Imagine a 24 karat gold hand bag! Isn’t the thought itself alluring enough?
Gigi Hadid’s favourite designer brand, Stalvey’s recent collection features a range of 24-karat gold bags, which are created using an ’embedding’ process, which means the skins aren’t foiled or painted, but are actually pressed with real gold particles. Umm…wow? In conversation with Vogue, Stalvey revealed how he took two years to come up with his new collection and how many failed attempts went into the making. “After two years of various failed dyes and techniques, we never imagined the process would lead us to actually embedding gold into alligator skins,” he said.
It’s for the first time that gold has actually been embedded into alligator skin, which explains why the finished products will burn a hole in your pockets. A mere clutch costs $26,000, a chain-strap cross-body comes for $50,000, and a larger top-handle bag will set you back by $100,000. There are buyers who buy such ridiculously priced bags too. It even became the most expensive one to be ever sold at Harrods last week when the collection was launched in London. Now, with this latest beauty available in the fashion world, we wonder if fashionistas like Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan plan on buying one. Honestly, even if they do, we won’t be surprised.
